WHAT IS MM10?
MM10 is a structured, daily wellbeing programme designed specifically for schools. In just 5–10 minutes at the start of the day, children experience a mix of mindfulness, breathing, movement and emotional regulation activities — all delivered through a simple, press-play portal.
No training. No planning. No specialist equipment. Teachers just open the portal, press play, and MM10 does the rest.
It has been piloted across primary and SEND specialist settings in Lancashire and Greater Manchester, funded by GM Moving and the Eric Wright Charitable Trust, and the results have been genuinely moving.
What’s included in MM10:
✅ Meditation Monday — guided visualisation and breathing to start the week calmly
✅ Tune-In Tuesday — mindful breath work to reset and focus
✅ Wellbeing Wednesday — gentle movement, chair yoga and yoga flows
✅ Thoughtful Thursday — gratitude and emotional reflection activities
✅ Flow Friday — fun yoga sequences and movement games
Plus: student voice activities, optional family and parent resources, and an additional movement tab coming this autumn based on pilot feedback.
What teachers say:
“MM10 has been a really useful tool to use at the start of the day. Just 10 minutes regulating breathing and focusing minds has made a real difference. The children are always eager to see the next day’s activity.”
— Kelly Barlow, Deputy Head Teacher, St Oswald’s RC Primary, Hyndburn
“It was amazing! My class always looked forward to it and got into the zone. The sessions had a calming effect on the class, which helped them to be ready to learn!”
— Nicola Harrisson, Teacher & Upper School Lead, Five Rivers Child Care (SEND setting), Rochdale

Who is MM10 for?
MM10 has been designed for:
- Primary schools — as a daily morning routine that settles children and prepares them for learning
- SEND settings — supporting emotional regulation in an inclusive, whole-class approach that doesn’t single anyone out
- Breakfast clubs — a perfect 10 minute start to the day before the school bell, helping children arrive calm and ready to learn
- School Games Organisers — a simple, evidence-based programme you can offer to schools across your area
- Family Hubs — supporting community wellbeing and extending the programme beyond the school gates
- Therapists and support workers — a practical, evidence-based tool to use alongside therapeutic and pastoral support
- Parents and families — resources are available on request to extend the programme into the home
It is aligned with the priorities of the SEND White Paper and the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026.
About the founder
Hi, I’m Gaynor Gallagher, founder of Calm & Connected CIC and UK Yoga.
Before creating MM10, I spent over 20 years working in education — as a teacher, School Sports Coordinator, Head of Department and Pastoral Lead. So I’ve seen first-hand what classrooms really look like day to day.
What I kept seeing was children arriving not ready to learn — anxious, dysregulated, distracted. And teachers doing their best, but already on the back foot within the first ten minutes of the day.
If children aren’t regulated, they can’t access learning properly. That’s not just a teaching issue — it’s a readiness issue. And that’s exactly why I created MM10.
Calm & Connected CIC is the not-for-profit organisation I co-founded to make evidence-based wellbeing programmes like MM10 accessible to every school, regardless of budget. UK Yoga continues alongside it, offering yoga and mindfulness training and courses for schools and educators.
Get MM10 for your school this September
This September, we’re offering MM10 at no cost to a limited number of schools — usual price £350 per school.
Schools get portal access straight away so staff can explore over summer, and we’re on hand to support with onboarding, including attending a staff meeting if that helps.
All we ask is that schools commit to:
- 5–10 minutes a day
- A short baseline questionnaire, plus mid and end of term check-ins (just 2 minutes each)
That’s it. No cost. No fuss.
MM10 is a programme by Calm & Connected CIC, developed in partnership with schools across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, including through. Piloted in spring 2026 with support from GM Moving & the Eric Wright Charitable Trust.
